Job Title: Canine Care Associate

Reports To: Kennel Manager / Facility Owner
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate Canine Care Associate to help care for dogs in a safe, clean, and positive environment. The ideal candidate loves working with animals, is attentive to detail, and is comfortable performing hands-on tasks to ensure the health, comfort, and well-being of all dogs in our care.
Key Responsibilities
Feed, water, and monitor dogs according to established schedules
Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, reception, and equipment
Exercise dogs through supervised playtime
Observe dogs for signs of illness, injury, or behavioral concerns and report issues to management
Assist with bathing, grooming, and basic care as needed
Administer medications as directed (training provided if required)
Follow safety protocols to prevent injury and disease
Provide calm, positive interaction and enrichment for dogs
Use the facility’s Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer check-ins and check-outs, payments, reservations, and service updates.
Qualifications
Genuine love for dogs and animal care
Ability to handle dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Comfortable performing physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
Prior animal care experience preferred but not required
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Exposure to noise, odors, and animal hair
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and early mornings as scheduled
